Announcing a simple VPN for AWS users

Written by Foxpass Team | Jul 6, 2016 7:00:00 AM

Today, Foxpass is excited to announce an AMI that greatly simplifies the setup of a Remote Access IPSEC/L2TP VPN. The VPN’s authentication ties into your company’s employee directory using Foxpass and features Duo integration for two-factor authentication.

The VPN needs no custom client-side software, it is compatible with your OS’s built-in VPN client. Foxpass integration ensures that every user who is granted access is a current employee and also enforces frequent credential rotation and the use of secure passwords.

Foxpass can also delegate password authentication to your main directory (i.e. Google, Okta, or OneLogin) to remove the need for a Foxpass-specific password.
Duo’s two-factor authentication prevents remote attackers from impersonating employees with just a password or SSH key. You can easily deploy the VPN on AWS or build the image yourself from our Github repo. If you’d like to read more about the benefits of a Remote Access VPN, check out our blog post here. Stay safe!
